Mote is an Indie/Post-Punk band originally founded in 2015 in Nashville TN by singer-songwriter and bassist Joe Schneider. As Mote was gaining success and touring in the US, Schneider came down with long-term illness. After a two year recovery period, in 2020 Schneider relocated the project to Berlin where he now resides. Mote released 4 singles with the British label The Animal Farm. Schneider had a minor hit as a featured vocalist with Berlin DJ/Producer Lahos for the song „End This Ride,“ co-written with Lahos. In 2023 Schneider joined forces with Josi Lukschy (guitar) and Lisa Kida (drums) and began playing shows in Berlin and its surrounding areas. Mote is excited to be releasing new music this year with the Berlin indie label Duchessbox Records. Catch them in live Berlin and on the road this fall in support of their new music.
