Admission 8 Euro / 5 Euro (Students)

For the last three years, Berlin has seen an explosion in English-language stand-up comedy. With regular open mics and showcases and springing up all over town in various bars, cafés, and art spaces, dozens of Berlin-based comedians from around the world (including Germany!) are finding their voices and sharing their lives in hilarious detail. Now see some of the best the Berlin scene has to offer in Leipzig!

COMICS ARE:

ALEX UPATOV (RUSSIA)
Alex Upatov was born in Russia and moved to Germany when he was eight. Though he has roots in Russia and Germany, the two funniest cultures on earth, he still decided to do comedy in English. He hosts a comedy open mic called „The Nose“, and a storytelling comedy-showcase, „The Campfire“ in Berlin. His stories about being a Russian kid in Germany and later being a confused Russian/German guy trying to understand how Berlin works are pretty good. And his delivery is best described as 50 % Hollywood’s Christopher Walken and 50% Disney’s Goofy.

JOSH TELSON (USA)
Born in Germany but raised in New York, Josh got his start in comedy at eleven years old when he said that he wanted to be a firetruck when he grew up. It was a very funny joke and earned him the praise and adulation of all of his classmates. Unfortunately, his career in comedy got sidetracked by middle school, high school, four years of college and ten years working in the film industry, none of which are as funny as they should be.
Josh is now a comedian and filmmaker based in Berlin, Germany, where he lives with his wife, daughter, and a cat named „Potato Salad.“ He performs regularly across the city and in his shower. He is also the co-host of the monthly radio variety show „piffle!“. He is not a firetruck.

AMELIA JANE HUNTER (AUS)
Hailing from convict shores, Amelia is an Australian comedian with exquisite irreverent grace.

HOST: TIM WHELAN (UK)
Originally from Liverpool, England, Tim has gained a reputation in Berlin’s rich underground comedy scene for accents, impressions, and witty one-liners. He hosts the popular weekly “Buzz Club” open stage and has performed in venues throughout Europe, as well as hosting the Edinburgh Fringe show “Wurst Käse Scenario” and the show tonight.
