For the last three years, Berlin has seen an explosion in English-language stand-up comedy. With regular open mics and showcases and springing up all over town in various bars, cafés, and art spaces, dozens of Berlin-based comedians from around the world (including Germany!) are finding their voices and sharing their lives in hilarious detail. Now see some of the best the Berlin scene has to offer in Leipzig!

Comics for Thursday 15th May:

Headliner: Caroline Clifford (UK)
Caroline Clifford is from England where she reached the final of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny, Amused Moose and Funny Women competitions. She now lives in Berlin where she co-hosts the incredibly popular We Are Not Gemüsed comedy show Neukölln confessional and Mode7. She is known for her fast wit, dark surreal and imaginative sense of humour. She is one of Berlin’s top headliners.

Harry McAlister (US)

Stephanie Tucci (US)
A native Connecticutian who moved to Berlin via New York, Stephanie has only recently embarked on the stand up comedy pursuit but already become a firm favourite. As well as being a Berlin regular, she has performed at Boom: Chicago and the Comedy Café in Amsterdam. It’s going ok.

Daniel Stern (US)
American born comedian and writer Daniel Stern whisks unhinged with into absurd observations. The result is an uniquely ridiculous comedy
meringue. He is the host of the live talk show „Night Show Berlin“, and currently retired from competitive eating.  Daniel has performed for the NBA summer league half time show.

HOST: TIM WHELAN (UK)
Originally from Liverpool, England, Tim has gained a reputation in Berlin’s rich underground comedy scene for accents, impressions, and witty one-liners. He hosts the popular weekly “Buzz Club” open stage and has performed in venues throughout Europe, as well as hosting the Edinburgh Fringe show “Wurst Käse Scenario” and the show tonight.
